Wine Tour around Georgia

 

Grapevine is the symbol of Georgia. It appears everywhere, in Georgian font, in traditional national ornament, and even traditional Georgian cross is composed of two grapevines, tied together with hairs of St. Nino Cappadocian who brought Christianity to Georgia.

Not all know that Georgia is a cradle of wine and winemaking. It is a part of Georgian cultural identity and heritage together with traditional architecture, poetry, songs and religion. Wine symbolizes renaissance, wealth and prosperity.

About 500 different varieties of grapevines are cultivated around the country. Mild climate and moist sea air of the Black Sea, create ideal conditions for developing winemaking in country. That’s why we want to show you wine Georgia, a country where every region growth its own unique sort of grapevine and consequently has its unique wine. Caution! a lot of wine will be drunk.

 

1 day: Arrival to Tbilisi. Evening excursion around Tbilisi.

2 day: Mtskheta, Jvari, Svetitskhoveli, Samtavro. Dinner, excurtion to the wine making factory Chateau Mukhrani. Transfer to Kutaisi, evening excursion around the city. Night in Kutaisi.

3 day: Transfer to Racha. Gelati and Motsameta monastery. Excurtion to Khvanchkara factory in Ambrolauri. Dinner with winemaker. Transfer to Batumi

4 day: excursion to highland Adjara and Adjara wine house, Makhuntseti waterfall, Queen Tamara Bridge, dinner with Ckhaveri wine at winemaker’s house.

5 day: Morning walk around Batumi transfer to Tbilisi.

6 day: Excursion to Kakheti. Sighnaghi, Kvareli, wine factory Kindzmarauli, Alexander Chavchavadze house-museum and wine cellar. Night in Tbilisi.

7 day: check – out 12:00. Transfer to the airport.

2 persons – 810$ per person, 4 persons – 578$ per person, 6 persons – 450$ per person.
