Traveling to a warm Tbilisi by 6 days

 

Tour program:

1 day: Arrival to Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport, Transfer, Check in hotel, evening walking tour around Tbilisi. Itinerary: Freedom Square, Rezo Gabriadze puppet theatre, Anchikhati church, Georgian patriarch residence, bridge of peace, aerial lift, Narikhala fortress, sulfur bathes, waterfall in figs gully, street of Jean Chardin, Sioni cathedral church, Kote Abkhazi street and Freedom Square.  On request we can visit souvenirs’ or wine shops.

 

2 day: Excursion to Kakheti – wine making region.

In the east part of Georgia there is a region where every single person is growing grapes and making wine, each of them can talk hours and hours to you about his region and especially wine. Each of them sincerely believe that his wine is the best and to proof this kindly will invite you to try his red dry or white dry wine. This is region of Kakheti.

Itinerary: Monastery of Bodbe, Signaghi, Kindzmarauli wine factory, Nekresi, manor of Aleksandre Chavchavadze.

 

3 day: Mtskheta ancient capital of Georgia

Mtkheta was the capital of Georgia before 5th century, at that time Georgia was called kingdom of Kartli. It might be considered as “Georgian Juresaim” so as Nino Cappadocian began spreading Christianity across Georgia from Mtskheta. She lived here in king Mirian gardener’s house. Mirian was first Georgian Orthodox king. Here was also built first Orthodox Church in Georgia and is kept seamless robe of Jesus.  St. Nino has also raised a cross on the mountain near Mtskheta. Now Cathedral of Jvari is built there and you can enjoy beautiful view over city of Mtkheta from this mountain. There are much more saint and historical things kept in this ancient city. All of them you can see while visiting it.

Itinerary: Monastery of Jvari, Mtskheta, Cathedral Svetitskhoveli, Cathedral Samtavro.

 

4 day: A walk to the mountains – Kazbegi.

If you like mountains this excursion is for you. Our rote from Tbilisi to Kazbegi will be via Georgia Military Road which goes alongside of river Aragvi. Throughout the way you’ll feel all the beauty of Dusheti region, with its high mountains and fascinating nature. 

Itinerary: Ananuri, Arc of Frendship, salty springs, Kazbegi, Gergeti.

 

5 day: Free day.

 

6 day: Transfer to Tbilisi airport.

Breakfast, check-out at 12:00.

The cost of travel and stay in hotel 3*:

2 people - $ 410 for 1 person, 3-4 people. - $ 365 for 1 person, 5-6 people. - $ 316.

*If you arrive to Kutaisi international airport then you can take scheduled bus to the center of Tbilisi price per person 25 Gel and is not included in tour price. We can help you to reserve tickets of this bus. In that case tour would be even cheaper.

 

**If your flight is in the evening and you want to stay in Hostel, Hotel or Guest House until the evening you should pay for another day.
