Batumi on foot

 

During this several hours walk you will hear interesting stories about the city and people, walk through magnolia alley, see music fountains on the boulevard, listen to the legends about Lake Nurigeli, see beautiful Europe square, astrological clocks, fountain Neptune, and Drama theatre of Chavchavadze.

 

Batumi can be called an exotic place because of it's subtropical climate. Here you can find magnolias and pines, oleanders and eucalypts, growing next to each other. And it’s always green and blossoming all year round.

               

Then later we’ll walk by the sea shore, hear the story behind the statues of Ali and Nino, and through the sea port we’ll head to an old city, to hear about its stories and legends. Between these narrow streets you can find Piazza square and Greek Church. The building in this old part of the city are about 150 years old.

               

A European and Asian architectural styles meet each other here and express unique charm and nature of the city. Our last stop is cableway. We’ll ascend to the mount Batum and enjoy a beautiful panorama from it.

               

And it’s impossible not to mention the beauty of Batumi at night. Millions of lights of different colors and patterns. Palms and cypresses stylized like night lights, glowing sculptures – all this is so fascinating and fantastic, that even most sophisticated person gets excited.
